Getting an error when adding other managers to a Facebook Business Page?

The dreaded message below appears when you want to add a new manager or any other role to a Facebook Business Page. Of course in your case the [User-ID-Number] is just another long meaningless number.

We weren’t able to add all your new admins. You can only add your friends or people who already like this Page.
[User-ID-Number] could not be added as an admin. The email may be invalid, or you may not have permission to look up this person using their email.

Well, I have recently struggled with the Facebook error message above, and have come to the conclusion that there are a series of steps that you should perform to make it work.

• Make sure the new person already likes the business page.
• Send a friend request to the person you are trying to assign a Facebook role and make sure he accepts it.
• Last but definitely not least, the person should lower his privacy settings to the most public setting possible. After successfully making him a manager of the page, the settings can go back to as private as needed. (You will find these settings by clicking the button shown in the image below)

IT should work; now you can concentrate on getting those likes.
